Spicy Eggs Recipe | Spicy Egg Balls
This spicy eggs recipe is an amazing appetizer to serve when you are hosting a party at your place.
You can even have this on a regular day to spruce up your daily dinner or lunch menu.
This spicy eggs recipe was actually inspired by my chicken chilli recipe where I, more or less use similar ingredients.
Ever since I made these spicy egg balls, my daughter could not stop raving about how great the recipe is.
The wide range of flavors and the amazing texture in this spicy eggs recipe is what makes it a complete hero and an ultimate favourite.
My favourite thing about cooking is when I get to play around and experiment with different ingredients and create unique and delectable dishes out of them.
Consequently, this spicy eggs recipe is also one of those cases where I brought together versatile ingredients and created deliciousness.
So, try this spicy eggs recipe everyone and enjoy its unforgettable flavors.
Ingredients:
1. Eggs: 15, (boiled: 13, unboiled: 2)
2. Oil (Deep fry)
3. Green Chilli: 8 (chop 3 * as shown in the picture)
4. Dry Chilli: 3
5. Garam Masala: 1 teaspoon
6. Gram Flour: 2 bowl
7. Ginger and Garlic Paste: 1 teaspoon each
8. Chilli Powder: 2 tablespoon
9. Green Onion: finely chopped
10. Onion: 4, big-sized, finely chopped
11. Garlic: 1 bulb, finely chopped
12. Tomato Ketchup
13. Chilli Sauce
14. Salt
15. Coriander Leaves
Spicy Egg Balls
Method:
Step 1: Preparation
Start off this spicy egg balls, by boiling the eggs. After the eggs are boiled, cut the eggs in half and take out the yolks and put it aside in a bowl.
Now, take the egg whites and finely chop them on the chopping board.
Put the chopped egg whites on a bowl.
Add gram flour, ginger and garlic paste, chopped green chilli, garam masala, chilli powder and salt.
Now take just about 6 egg yolks and add it into the bowl. Mix everything with your hands lightly.
Do not knead.
Step 2:
Take 2 unboiled eggs and beat it well.
Add this to the bowl as well and mix everything.
Your mixture will look something like this:
Step 3:
Now, take small quantity of the mixture and make balls out of it.
If the balls turn out a bit watery, you can add some gram flour into the mixture accordingly to make the balls firm.
Step 4:
After you are done with making the balls, heat the oil in a pan on medium flame.
Deep fry the egg balls and set it aside.
Make sure you don't touch the egg balls for a minute, while it is in the pan.
Also, do not overstuff the pan with the egg balls. Leave some space in the pan.
Step 5:
After your egg balls turn golden brown, transfer them into a bowl.
Step 6:
Heat another pan and add 2 tablespoon of oil.
Add the chopped garlic and onions. Toss them in the pan and add 3 green chillies and dry chillies. Mix them well.
Make sure you are quick here as you do not want to burn the ingredients.
Step 7:
Add tomato ketchup as per taste along with some chilli sauce.
Now, add the deep fried egg balls and saute everything.
Do not use the ladle as it might break the balls.
There you have it folks. Your spicy egg balls are now ready.
Transfer the spicy balls on a plate and garnish with some fresh coriander leaves.
Bonus Tips:
1. You might have noticed, I did not use all the yolk from the eggs. This is because if you add the yolk, it does not give a good flavor.
So, in this recipe, with 13 eggs, I have only added 6 yolks.
