Neuro With Curd: Nepali Food Recipe

Want to enjoy having greens even more? Try out this easy and quick recipe of neuro (fiddlehead fern) to add an extra oomph to the same old boring greens lying there in your fridge. 

This is actually a minute attempt to make you all believe that by putting a little twist, even a green dish recipe can turn out to be yummy. Well atleast Sometimes 😜


Authentic Nepali Food Recipe



Ingredients:


1. Neuro (Fiddlehead Fern)
2.Curd: 100 gms 
3. Oil: 3 tablespoon
4. Onion:1 (medium sized), finely chopped 
5. Cumin Seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
6. Ginger Paste & Garlic Paste: 1/2 teaspoon each
7. Turmeric Powder: 1 teaspoon
8. Chilli Powder: as per taste
9. Salt: as per taste




Method:

Step 1:

Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When the cumin seeds start to crackle, add finely chopped onions and cook it on  medium flame.

Step 2:

Once the onions become golden brown, add ginger paste, garlic paste and chilli powder, mixing everything well for 30 seconds.

Step 3:

Add the neuro (fiddlehead fern) and stir well for a short while. Then, add some salt and cover it until the neuro is completely dry. 

Step 4:

Beat the curd thoroughly in a bowl. Now, before pouring the curd in the pan, make sure you turn off the gas. Now, pour the curd in the pan and give everything a good mix. After mixing everything, turn on the gas and cover the lid on medium flame. 

Step 5:

Keep checking whether or not the curd is still runny. If it has turned into a nice gravy like consistency, then turn off the gas and get ready to have this amazing and easy recipe. 

Bonus Tips:


1. Tomatoes are not added in the recipe as curd does the job of tomatoes perfectly well.

2. While pouring the curd, you should TURN OFF the gas, in order to avoid the curd from splitting.
