2. Butter/ Ghee: 100 gms
3. Salt: As per taste
4. Water
For Spicy Chicken (Marinade):
1. Boneless Chicken: 800 gms
2. Yogurt: 100gms
3. Chat Masala: 2 teaspoon
4. Garam Masala: 1 tablespoon
5. Ginger Paste: 1 tablespoon
6. Garlic Paste: 1 tablespoon
7. Chilli Powder: As per taste
8. Lemon Juice: As per taste
9. Salt: As per taste
For Filling:
1. Onion: 4 , thinly sliced
2. Capsicum: 100 gms, thinly sliced
3.Coriander Leaves
4.Green Onion
5. Green Chilli
6. Carrots
7. Chat Masala: 1 tablespoon
8. Garam Masala: 1 teaspoon
Method:
Step 1:
Let's start off with preparing the scrumptious chicken first. For the grilled chicken flavor, cook the marinated chicken in the oven at 200 degress for 25-30 minutes.
Step2:
While the chicken is being cooked, knead a soft dough mixing the above ingredients. Once the dough is prepared, finish it off by applying a drizzle of refined oil all over it and cover the dough leaving it for 15-20 minutes.
Step3:
Moving on to preparing the filling. Heat the pan and add 3 tablespoon of butter on medium flame. After the butter is melted, add the thinly sliced capsicums, carrots , green onions and the cooked chicken. While mixing these veggies and the chicken, add 1 tablespoon of chat masala and 1 teaspoon of garam masala with salt as per taste. Mix all these ingredients well for 1-2 minute on medium flame.
Step 4:
Keep the prepared filling aside and move on to making the rolls. Crack 5 eggs and beat it well with 4-5 tablespoon of milk with a pinch of salt as per taste. Keeping the eggs aside in a bowl, give the dough one last knead and start making the balls for the chapati. Start with heating the pan. Roll the balls into the shape of chapatis and transfer them to the pan. When tiny bubbles start to show in the chapatis, flip them and drizzle 1/2 teaspoon of ghee/oil onto the chapati. Then, add 2-3 tablespoon of the egg mixture onto the chapati giving it a good swirl. Finally flip the chapati and cook it well. Now, put it aside and repeat the procedure for other chapati rolls.
Step 5:
Now bringing the final product to life, take the chapati and place the filling in the middle. Garnish with the thinly sliced onion with coriander leaves, green chilli, lemon juice and chilli powder as per taste with a pinch of salt. Wrap it tightly to make amazing rolls and serve. Repeat the process for more rolls.
Bonus Tips:
1. Remember the oil for the dough? This is for extra softness and richness for the chapati rolls.
2. While preparing the filling, avoid burning the butter by keeping the pan on medium flame. Hence, once the butter is melted, immediately start adding the veggies and the chicken.
3. The reason why milk is added in the eggs is for its extra puffiness and smoothness after it is added in the chapati.

ReplyDeleteThank you for checking out the recipe. Yes you can absolutely use paneer instead of chicken. You can slice or even grate the paneer. You can also add some thinly sliced cabbage if you like.
