For everyone curious to know how to make chilli chicken, this recipe is going to be super exciting. 

This chilli chicken recipe of mine has been one of the ultimate favourite in the family. 

Everybody who has had a chance to taste this recipe have raved about it non-stop. 

With amazing soft and luscious fried chicken, enveloped with flavorful sauces and chilli, this chilli chicken recipe is always my go to dish at every party and gatherings.

Especially with the party series coming to an end with this chilli chicken recipe, I wanted to share one of my best recipes till date and end the series with a bang. 

Perfect as an appetizer or a proper dish for dinner, this chilli chicken will leave you  wanting for more because of its unforgettable flavors.

 How To Make Chilli Chicken 


 Ingredients: For Marination

1. Chicken: 1.5 kg

2. Ginger and Garlic Paste: 3 tablespoon

3. Black pepper: 1 tablespoon

4. Vinegar: 3 tablespoon

5. Eggs: 2

6. Corn Flour: 5 tablespoon

7. Flour: 3 tablespoon

8. Salt: as per taste

9. Chilli Powder: as per taste

10. Oil


Ingredients: For Chilli Chicken

1. Onions: 4, big sized

2. Capsicum: 200 gms, chopped

3. Green Onion (Leaves): 1/2 cup

4. Green Onion (Without Leaves): 1/2 cup

5. Garlic: 1 bulb, finely chopped

6. Ginger: 1 inch, finely chopped 

7. Green Chilli: as per taste, sliced

8. Soya Sauce: 4 tablespoon 

9. Vinegar: 3 tablespoon

10. Corn flour: 3 tablespoon

11. Tomato Ketchup: 3 tablespoon

12. Chilli Sauce: 4 tablespoon

13. Sesame Seeds: 1 teaspoon 

14. Salt

15. Oil


Method:

Step 1: Marination

Start off the chilli chicken recipe by marinating the chicken, mixing all the ingredients mentioned above. 

You can leave the marinated chicken in the refrigerator overnight or atleast for an hour if you are running short on time. 


Step 2:

Now, take your marinated chicken and deep fry them in a pan on medium flame.

Leave the chicken to cook until it turns golden brown. 

Now, once the chicken is perfectly cooked, tranfer them into a bowl and keep it aside for awhile.

Step 3: Sauce Mixture

Take a bowl and add 1 and half cup of water. 

Add soya sauce, vinegar, corn flour, tomato ketchup and chilli sauce. 

Keep this aside for now. 


Step 4:  

Heat the oil in a new pan on high flame. 

Add the chopped green onions (without leaves) and chopped ginger and garlic. 

Cook it for 30 seconds. 


Step 5:

Add the chopped capsicums, onions, green chilli and mix everything well for 30 seconds.

Now, add the sauce mixture prepared earlier and salt as per taste.

Leave it for a minute. 

Do not stir. 


Step 6:

After the minute is up, mix everything well and add in the fried chicken. 

Give everything a good mix. 


Transfer the chilli chicken into a bowl as it is now ready to be served.

Garnish the chilli chicken with the green onion leaves and sesame seeds. 


Bonus Tips:

1. Overnight marination will make your chicken extra soft and juicy, so if possible leave the marination overnight. 

2. You can store this chilli chicken recipe for 2-3 days.
