DRUMSTICK LEAVES RECIPE WITH POTATO- EASY HEALTHY RECIPE

Ingredients:

1. Drumstick Leaves: half bowl
2. Potatoes: 2, large sized
3. Oil: 2-3 tablespoon
4. Onions: 1, small sized, finely chopped
5. Tomatoes: 2, small sized, finely chopped
6. Ginger and Garlic Paste: 1/2 teaspoon each
7. Dry Chilli: 2
8. Cumin Seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
9. Turmeric Powder
10. Salt

Method

Step 1:

Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When the seeds start to crackle, add the finely chopped onions and dry chilli.

Step 2:

When the onions start to slightly change colour, add the ginger and garlic paste and stir it for 30 seconds on medium flame.

Step 3:

Add the finely chopped tomatoes and stir it once. Now add the potatoes, stir well and then close the lid and leave it for a minute.

Now, after 1 minute is up, open the lid and give everything a good mix. Make sure the potatoes are 50% cooked.

Step 4:

Add the drumstick leaves in the pan and stir well. Add in some salt, mix everything well, then close the lid on medium flame for 1 -2 minutes.

Step 5:

Open the lid and again give everything a good stir. Your easy healthy recipe of drumstick leaves is now ready.

Bonus Tips:

1. If you might have noticed, I usually do not add water in any of my recipes. This is because I try to cook the food, mostly with the water droplets forming on the lid. This makes the food extra delicious compared to adding some water.

2. As you might have even noticed, I tend to stir my food quite a bit. This is because, since I don't add water, I need to make sure I don't burn my food. Hence, that is why I am mostly stirring the food to avoid burning it.

3. If you are diabetic, you can avoid the potatoes and add any vegetable of your liking, like, peas, capsicum etc. This healthy recipe is extremely good for diabetis patients as well as for those having high blood pressure.
