Chilli Mushroom Recipe
Hi everyone. I know it's been awhile but I am back again with another amazing recipe.
So, today I am going to share with you my quick homemade chilli mushroom recipe.
Dried mushroom cooked with amazing spices gives a spicy and flavorsome aroma.
This chilli mushroom recipe is super easy to make and is a perfect dish to spruce up your daily meal.
Usually chilli mushroom recipes are majorly inclined towards having a indo-chinese taste, however, this particular one will be a great surprise as it still resonates with our nepali taste.
Cooked with our normal everyday spices this chilli mushroom recipe will leave you wanting for more.
Ingredients
1. Dried Mushroom: 100 gms
2. Capsicum: 2, chopped
3. Onion: 2, big sized, sliced
4. Tomato Puree: 1 cup
5. Green Onions: 3 tablespoon
6. Ginger and Garlic Paste: 1/2 tablespoon each
7. Cumin Seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
8.Green Chilli: as per taste, sliced
9. Chilli Powder: as per taste
10. Garam Masala: 1/2 teaspoon
11. Coriander Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
12. Kasoori Methi: 1 tablespoon
13. Fresh cream: 2 tablespoon
14. Turmeric: 1/2 teaspoon
15. Salt: as per taste
16. Coriander Leaves (optional)
Method:
Step 1:
Start off the mushroom recipe by soaking the mushroom in lukewarm water for 10 minutes.
Then squeeze out the excess water and keep it aside in a bowl.
Step 2:
Heat the oil in a pain on medium flame and add the cumin seeds.
After the seeds start to crackle, add the chopped onions.
Once the onions turn light brown, add the ginger and garlic paste, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, green chilli and salt.
Stir everything for a minute then go ahead and add the tomato puree.
Mix it for a minute.
Step 3:
Now, add the dried mushroom and cook it on low flame for a minute with the lid closed.
Step 4:
Open the lid and add the capsicum. Mix it well and again close the lid and cook it for a minute.
Open the lid and stir it well. You will see a good amount of gravy in the pan.
If you think your mushrooms are finally cooked, add some fresh cream, garam masala and roasted kasoori methi.
Make sure you rub the kasoori methi between your palm whilst you add it in the pan.
Cook everything with the lid closed for 1 minute.
Step 5:
Now, once cooked, transfer your mushroom recipe into a bowl and garnish with some coriander leaves.
Enjoy this dish with some rice and your favourite dal.
